I am Bunny’s daughter Mary. I live in Minnesota and am a road designer for one of the counties. I have a degree in Art History but never spent much time doing artwork or crafts myself.  After helping my mother cut out and clean many, many gourds I was inspired to try painting them myself. I started small with egg gourds and mini-bottle gourds creating ornaments for my Christmas tree. This led to having a table at the local craft show with my two aunts.

My mother and I have had a booth at the Wuertz Gourd Festival in Casa Grande, AZ, every year since 2005 and are planning on next year’s show too. Instead of running out of ideas we come up with so many new ones we can hardly wait to get going on them.

I hope you will enjoy these photos of my gourds and maybe gain a little inspiration from them if you are hesitant to start “gourding” yourself!
